Fantastic Evening at the City of Poughkeepsie Police National Night Out 2018!
The Junior League of Poughkeepsie was there once again promoting literacy, giving away books donated by community members and Beekman Public Library!
Thank you to all who made this amazing event possible!
The Junior League of Poughkeepsie and the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association have teamed up in their efforts to once again help the community they live in! We are looking to raise funds to create and frame an exhibit of students’ art work in the waiting areas of the Family Court building. We are planning on having about 70 prints displayed on the second and third floor waiting areas. They have been working with The Art Effect (formerly Mill Street Loft), in compiling the exhibits, and look forward to beautifying the courthouse!
Please donate what you can to help us raise the funds necessary to have the artwork digitally printed and then framed! Our goal is $1300. Please give what you can and make the Family Court a less dreary place for those who have to enter on a daily basis.

Thank you to Spectrum News for highlighting our Cinderella’s Closet event!
It’s the season when many are beginning to focus on what to wear to prom this year. Students in Poughkeepsie were able to browse a wide selection of dresses Sunday thanks to the return of the Junior League’s annual Cinderella’s Closet. Photojournalist Doug Short takes us to the Italian Center to see if local high schoolers were able to find the perfect dress.
The Junior League of Poughkeepsie has adopted a new Diversity and Inclusion Statement. It states:
